Jakarta, Indonesia (7/12) – A total of 462 people gathered at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta and Zoom meeting platform to participate in the webinar on "STANDARDS COMPLIANCE ANALYTICS: Border Rejections in major global markets, Indonesia" held on December 7, 2023.
The 5th Steering Committee Meeting (SCM) of the Global Quality and Standards Programme (GQSP) Indonesia SMART-Fish 2 was successfully conducted virtually on 24th February 2022
Meeting between Mr. Bernardo Calzadilla Sarmiento, the MD of Directorate Digitalization and Agri-Business with the GQSP Indonesia’s stakeholders was successfully held on 9/11 in Jakarta. Attended by 25 representatives from difference agencies under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and National Standardization Agency (BSN)
The National Expert will be directly responsible for thematic areas of seaweed value chains in Indonesia. Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager and National Chief Technical Advisor (NCTA), the expert will be responsible to enhance seaweed SMEs compliance with national, international standards and technical regulations. The outcome emphasizes the completion and up-scaling of seaweed aquaculture and post-harvest SOPs, training stakeholders in the value chain in the use of such SOPs, and supporting selected seaweed processors in obtaining internationally recognized certification and assisting value chain actors in designing and implementing upgrading projects for the value chain improvement.
