Catfish

Clarias catfish is a very popular fresh-water fish in Indonesia, where we can find Clarias catfish farming in every part of Indonesia. In 2017, Indonesia produced more than 1.1 million tons of Clarias catfish, which mainly for the local market and sold as live fish. There is also some export of Clarias catfish to South Korea and Europe, as frozen fish, by several processing companies from East Java. In total, these companies export about 170 tons/month (data 2018).
